Repair or Replace? When a Las Vegas Roof Leak Means a New Roof
The most expensive mistake in roofing is replacing a roof that only needed a repair — and the second is repeatedly patching a roof that's genuinely done. Here's how we draw the line.
When a repair is the right call
Most Las Vegas leaks come from localized, repairable causes: a cracked pipe boot, failed flashing at a chimney or wall, a few wind-slipped or cracked tiles, or a small area of underlayment failure. If the rest of the roof system still has life, the right move is a targeted repair — and we warranty leak repairs for 5 years.
When it's time to replace or relay
Replacement or a full tile lift-and-relay makes sense when the failure is system-wide rather than local: underlayment that's reached the end of its life across the whole roof, widespread shingle deterioration, or repeated leaks in multiple areas. At that point, continuing to patch costs more over time than fixing it properly once.
Get an honest assessment
The only way to know is to have the roof inspected by someone who will tell you the truth. We lead with repair, recommend replacement only when it's genuinely warranted, and explain exactly what we found so you can decide with real information.
